A critical part of our mission at Athleticare Sports Health Foundation is to pair BOC-certified athletic trainers with underserved schools in need of athletic trainer support.
One opportunity open to schools, physicians and athletic trainers is the Athleticare Foundation program, which allows BOC-certified athletic trainers to pursue their Master of Science Degree in Applied Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine through Concordia University Chicago, while gaining real life experience through placement at a school in need of support. Athleticare fellows will also have the opportunity to be paired with physicians for on-the-job shadowing as a physician extender during their 2-year term in the program.
Fellows will be placed in schools to provide preventative services, emergency care, therapeutic intervention, diagnosis and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions affecting the student athletes we serve.
Certified athletic trainers looking to pursue a graduate fellowship may click here to learn more about our program benefits and requirements. Our fellowship application is also available online.
High schools seeking athletic trainer placement or physicians seeking a physician extender – may submit their job opportunities through our job board or reach out to our team for additional placement support.
