FIND AN ATHLETIC TRAINER

Hire an Athletic Trainer for your School

As part of our mission to promote safer sports programs and protect youth athletes, we work to pair schools with qualified athletic trainers to serve their student-athletes. Connect with us to be paired with an affordable certified athletic trainer that is ideal for school’s athletics program.

You can also click here to find out more about the certified athletic trainers that we work with and how they can be a valuable asset to any sports program. Through our fellowship program, these qualified professional athletic trainers, who are working to complete their graduate degree program in Applied Exercise Science, gain practical experience by providing athletic training services to schools during their two-year graduate program.

Athletic Trainers for Schools: A Necessity

Too often, injury care is left to volunteer coaches, athletic directors or teachers, who may or may not be able to adequately identify and treat injuries. This leads to concussions which go undiagnosed and recurrent injuries when initial sports injuries go untreated.

High schools with an athletic trainer as part of their core athletics team have the opportunity to lower overall injury rates, lower recurrent injury rates, and increase the rate at which athletes report their injuries, including concussions. Athletic trainers facilitate treatment of injuries and monitor recovery to ensure the all athletes return to play safely and healthy. In fact, a 2012 study by the American Academy of Pediatrics revealed that high schools without an athletic trainer had overall injury rates that were 1.73 times higher, and recurrent injury rates that were roughly 570% higher among soccer players and 300% higher amongst basketball players.
