Athleticare Sports Health Foundation, Inc. invites applicants for our Athletic Training Fellowship program. We currently have positions available in the St. Louis, MO area. At Athleticare Sports Health Foundation, Inc, we are working to build safer sports programs for everyone by CONNECTING under-served schools with access to sports medicine services, EMPOWERING athletic trainers with opportunities for excellence and growth, PROTECTING student athletes from injury and SUPPORTING the communities we serve with access to programs, services and resources to help them build a stronger, safer sporting community. Athleticare Sports Health Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization. The mission of the Athleticare Sports Health Foundation, Inc.’s Fellowship program is to foster the development of athletic trainers working in the secondary school setting through mentoring, clinical rotations with sports medicine providers, and graduate education, with a specific focus on underserved communities. Athletic Training Fellows will serve as the Head Athletic Trainer at a local high school and work 20 hours per week under the direct supervision of a Team Physician and Athleticare’s Director of Athletic Healthcare Services. Participants will pursue a graduate degree with one of our partners: Concordia University Chicago, Saint Francis College, or Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. The fellowship program is also available to candidates interested in pursuing a doctoral education at Concordia University Chicago’s online PhD in Health and Human Performance or EdD in Health and Human Performance programs, or Concordia University St. Paul’s online Kinesiology EdD or PhD programs.
Fellows receive the following compensation package:
- Full tuition and fee waivers
- Free Textbooks and required course materials
- Monthly stipend ($1200-$2500 per month)
- Financial support for continuing education activities
- All Licensure fees and NATA membership fees
- $5,000-10,000 in additional PRN opportunities
This is a 10-month appointment that is renewable up to 2 years for Master’s Fellowship and 4 years for the Doctoral Fellowship. Applicants must be BOC-certified or eligible.
