Apply for Residency or Fellowship

APPLY FOR RESIDENCY OR FELLOWSHIP

Athleticare Sports Health Foundation, Inc. is now accepting applications for our 2025-2026 Fellowship Program and Athletic Training Residency.

The Fellowship Program is a fully-funded post-professional athletic training fellowship that enhances the knowledge and skills of entry-level BOC-certified athletic trainers. Fellows will be required to enroll in a graduate program at one of our higher education partners (Concordia University Chicago, Concordia University St. Paul). The program length for master’s fellows is two years and four years for doctoral fellows. In addition, doctoral fellows will have teaching, administration, and research opportunities.

The Residency Program is a fully immersive experiential development program focused on enhancing the knowledge and skills of entry-level BOC-certified Athletic Trainers aligned with the CAATE with an emphasis on Pediatric Orthopedics. The program length for residents is one year with an option for a one-year extension.

Both Residency and Fellowship programs require the Athletic Trainer to be BOC eligible and eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri.  Athletic Trainers in both programs serve as the Head Athletic Trainer at one of our secondary school or community college partners in the Greater St. Louis, MO metropolitan area.
