MCCLUER SOUTH-BERKELEY HIGH SCHOOL HEAD ATHLETIC TRAINER
Nikki Fleischmann is a recent graduate from Central Methodist University. Nikki has always played sports and wanted to find a career path that incorporated both sports and a passion to help others. During her senior year of high school, her athletic trainer gave her the opportunity to shadow him, explaining an athletic trainer’s role, story-telling of past experiences, and teaching Nikki to tape. This is when Nikki decided to pursue a career in athletic training. Athleticare Sports Health Foundation was the perfect fit. Nikki loves our mission statement, to build safer sports programs by connecting schools to sports medicine services, empowering athletic trainers to grow, protecting student-athletes, and supporting our communities. Nikki is able to work with high school student-athletes, doing what she loves, helping others, and putting others before herself. After this fellowship, Nikki wishes to continue to work in the secondary schools setting and obtain her teaching certification.
