Shanice knew she wanted to work on a professional hockey sideline after watching the movie Miracle — and jokes that athletic training was a better fit than playing, given her hand-eye coordination. She moved from the city that never sleeps to Las Vegas, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
Her experience includes UNLV Football, Xtreme Couture MMA Gym, ACICS US Open Wrestling and local high schools. She is pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Exercise Science with a concentration in Human Movement Science. After her fellowship she hopes to work with women's soccer and volunteer her way toward the U.S. Olympic sports medicine team.
She's a Chicago Blackhawks fan who has recently adopted the Vegas Golden Knights to represent her home, and she loves the outdoors and road trips.
