ATHLETIC TRAINING FELLOWS
After watching the hockey movie “Miracle,” Shanice knew she wanted to find a place on their sideline. Shanice jokes that Athletic Training was the perfect fit, since she lacks the hand-eye coordination (and more) to make it as a professional hockey player. Shanice moved from the city that never sleeps to Sin City, where she also graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Go Rebels! #VegasStrong. Shanice had the opportunity of working with UNLV Football, the Xtreme Couture MMA Gym, ACICS US Open Wrestling, and local high schools in the area. She is currently working towards a Master of Science degree in Applied Exercise Science with a concentration in Human Movement Science. After this fellowship, Shanice would like to work with Women’s Soccer, as well as work towards becoming a part of the U.S. Olympics Sports Medicine Team as a volunteer.
Shanice is an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan and has recently adapted a love for the Vegas Golden Knights’ in support of her home. She enjoys being outdoors and taking many road trips.
